Serving others is one of the clearest ways to follow Jesus. These prayers ask God to open your eyes to needs around you, give you a willing heart and keep you from serving for recognition. Pray them before volunteering, before caring for someone or at the start of an ordinary day.
Almighty Father, help me grow in service. Keep me from fear, pride, and confusion, and anchor me in Your peace. When I am tired or uncertain, lift my eyes to Your promises and steady my soul. Strengthen me to persevere with faith and gratitude through every moment. In Jesus' name, Amen.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Dear God, I come before You today asking for service. Let Your truth direct my thoughts, my words, and my decisions today. When I feel weak, remind me that You are near, faithful, and strong for me. Give me wisdom, courage, and peace as I follow You today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Faithful Lord, renew my mind with service. Let my life be a witness of Your goodness and mercy to the people around me. May Your Spirit guide my steps and keep my heart aligned with Your will. Keep me close to You and make me a blessing to my family and community. In Jesus' name, Amen.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God.”
